UTTER UTTER crap.

I' m a real fan of KoS gels and the like but this razor is very poor. Razor "head" waay too big and flat (think of trying to sand a tiny nook with an obersized sanding block) so unless you have a fat face, it won't get under your jawline, the flexi bit isn't nearly flexy enough and it's poorly made.

I'm a "heavy" shaver and tried it four times - cuts, rashes and took me ages.

I wrote to them and got a fairly good email back but basically the reviews are PR led (ahem - I'm in PR...!) and biased. Check forums and lots of people are moaning about them.

It's brilliant for back and neck fur removal (the right shape) if you get any but hopeless for face shaving.

I went back to a Quattro Titanium which is about a million times better.

been using their oils for years, but based on mateeboy's comments, think i'll stick with the mach2,000,000 or however many blades mine has these days

A bit of a trawl of the net seems to show that despite the mega bladed vibro razors, mach 3s and old Sensors are still considered the best razors!
I get on with the Quattro for some reason - blade is small enough to get anywhere and is at the right angle - KoS blade is too "flat" to reach anywhere.

i've been using the Quattro Titanium and just bought the Fusion vibrating yoke a few weeks ago. I haven't liked either as much as my Mach3 Turbo, but alas my Mach3 is now in the hands of Mrs Bigjay and i can't say i really want it to touch my face ever again

I also really like the KOS gels so thought I'd get the razor too. As said it's a bit numb, doing your sidey bits is tricky cos you can't really see what your doing. Likewise I hacked myself to bits at first but persisted and now it's ok. To be honest, I think I'll use the blades that came with it and then go back to my Mach 3 thing...might treat myself to a new handle. They just feel better in the hand, it's nice to have a little weight, the plaggy handles are too light.

I'm actually using some Bulldog shaving gel atm, seems very good, also like their moisturiser

I have yet to find anything that does the job better than the Mach 3. 4 blades is a step too far IMO.

Errrm I'm quite capable of shaving properly thanks - with a proper razor. There is no way that huge flat razor head can get under a proper jawline without extreme skin stretching and therefore razor burn and cuts.

Quattro Titanium - no nicks for about three years.
KoS Azor - about six cuts every time.

Hopeless design.

I don't rate it at all.

I can blunt Gillette blades in wo weeks, if I try hard, the KoS blades last me three shaves.

It's certainly cheaper, but as soon as my last blade is dead, I shall go back to Gillette.

I find fusion to be good for not cutting myself, last time i used mach 3 turbo it left me with 3 go faster stripes on my head lol.
Glad i saw this thread as the gf parents bought me one yesterday, and wondered if i should use it or just buy more gillette blades, but may try the quattro now.

matteeboy - for some reason i have always found wilkinson sword razors don't really work for me. but then i guess if we were all the same there would only be one razor company (could be the operator in my case rather than the tool )

I like the fusion - but with the battery taken out. Every stroke seemed to turn the motor on and the next one would turn it back off, a stupid place to put the on-off switch IYAM.

Mach 3 for me, does me fine. Won't be sold by all these ones with 12 heat and vibrate settings, shaving planners and timers

Forgot to say, I love the king of shaves oils though, great stuff

Wilko quattro thingy for me, very nice shave, but I only get 1 shave per blade, which makes it expensive! I am sure NASA would have some use for my stubble as some kind of new heat shield material on the space shuttle...

i threw my mach3 out

after i saw them push up the cost of the blades to try and make people "upgrade" to the fusion one i binned it


what i bought on a bit of a whim, was this asda 3 blade triple system thing

iirc the blades were 8 for £4.99, figured that asda would not really sell **** blades and trying to get cheap gillette ones just ends up with you getting the fakes from what i have been told, so i binned the mach3 and gave this asda one a go

first time i tried it i chopped my face up

it seams to give a hell of a closer shave for me personally, so i had to learn to simply shave a bit slower, and it was fine after that, the only problem i feel with the whole setup is that the actual blades are not to easy to clean, runnign them under the tap does not seam to clean the crap of them as easy, found i had to wipe them with a towel (feels dodgy as hell, as its a fooken blade on your finger etc etc) but it works.

not sure if any other heads will fit this razor (still have 8 left as i bought loads at the time) so might end up buying another brand next time around.

if the heads/blades were easier to clean then i would be a 100% convert, but i cant help feel that they made them a bit harder to clean, so you replace them faster ?

they seam to stay sharp longer then the mach 3 ones if you wipe them.

If I try to use them a second time the blade just refuses to cut cleanly, it will still cut but I might have to go over my whole face 3 times or so.

TBH, I can sometimes get about 3/4 the way through a shave and its done by then.

I have only one life. Four attempts with the Azor, all crap, in the bin, Quattro does the job much better.

Wilko blades cut the hell out me, tried them all, fusion and m3 have so many blades the drag terribly plus i swear gilette blades aren't half as sharp as they used to be.

I avoided the azor because of the bad rep it got here, eventually i caved in and bought one yesterday, i love it yes it does cut you to shreds but mostly as it's a new shaver so i need to adjust to it, feels much sharper and shaves much closer so you do need to be careful with it.

I think it rewards the more experienced shaver, the less careful ones would be cut to ribbons, it could do with one less blade and needs to be a little bit wider and more flexible but i love it's simplicity and the price is very keen too.

I was going to try a more traditional cut-throat razor so we'll see for now im happy with it.

Plus 4 blades are £3 in asda atm, good value in my book.
