Can anyone offer advice or comment please; why would a companys shares be suspended? having heard this on the jungle drums is there a source other than the company itself where I can find out what the facts are.

1) Major discussion/deal involving takeover/mergers/being bought....
2) Major ill health or perception there-of due to a rapid change in trading conditions, usually going bust or significant partner goes bust etc.
3) The company breaks the rules of the exchange.

Stock market rules dictate even during a large share transaction the company shares are suspended until that transaction is complete.

As vindaloo says, lots of reasons.
