Default Drug side effects

Got some new meds today, always enjoy the side effects leaflet.

Usual stuff, can cause constipation and skitters, can cause high blood pressure, can cause low blood pressure - about 15 lines of stuff.
The one that caused me to pause and exclaim "eff that"....

can cause enlargement of breast tissue (fair enough, common thing gynecomastia) and milk discharge (oh) in males and females (WTF?!?!?)

Will be squeezing moobs over next few days, will take pics if it happens

Would you taste it?

I once got prescribed tablets to control headaches, nausea and dizziness. The side effects were described as headaches, nausea and dizziness

TV ads in America have the side effects read out at the end of the ad, it's great! 99% of them say in the ads that the drug probably won't do what it says it will and there's a chance that it might kill you!

I remember being on Anti d's when I was 16 for stomach problems ... it removed my ability to .. er .. well .. *** ..
The worst part was I asked my mum how long side effects last and the bitch had read the packet and based on my red face knew what I was talking about ... at 16 I nearly died ..

This is the highlights of the side effects of what I'm on.

Visual disturbances.
Sensation of ringing or other noise in the ears (tinnitus).
Changes in mood.
Impotence.
Severe swelling of lips, face, tongue or throat
Confusion.
Inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis).
Disturbances in the normal levels of blood cells in the blood (tell you doctor if you get a sore throat, mouth ulcers, high temperature (fever), or feel tired or generally unwell while taking this medicine).

Problems with liver function, including jaundice or hepatitis (consult your doctor promptly if you develop unexplained itching, yellowing of the skin or eyes, unusually dark urine, nausea and vomiting, abdominal pains, loss of appetite or flu-like symptoms while taking this medicine).

Not to mention severe dizziness or fainting if I forget to take it for a day.

Reading and worrying about all that's enough to cause high blood pressure!

I once had a drug side effect, I had a stiffy for like three days, I tried battering it off walls etc, I pulled it and flicked it, nothing worked, Eventually I just cut it off! I'll never take ecstasy again

Be careful with the little blue pill.

If you don't swallow it quickly you get a stiff neck!

My wifes mother is on two 75mg morphine patches a day. She says shes never felt better, I asked if she feels anything at all

If she forgets she goes into proper cold turkey and when she first starting putting them on she'd wake up in the morning to find the patch on the wifes father

EDIT - I used google image search to find "homer drool". With SafeSearch turned off one of the pics is flippin gross!! NSFW

At least the stuff for my gout is safe, unlike my blood pressure pills

I've had high doses of Distalgesic in the past which is quite interesting Morphine in hospital was quite an experience as well. Due to an allergy to anaesthetics I've had minor surgery whilst medically "stoned", the hangover/recovery was a biatch
