Default Recommend a Netbook to me

As title says; recommend a Netbook to me.

I've been looking at Acer and Asus in the region of £200-£250 or so. I want it to be XP, just incase I decide to load some software. It doesn't need huge memory. I'm looking at 1Gb ram, 12-16Gb SSD rather than hard drives, although an 80GB hard drive would be fine. Bluetooth would be nice too!

The usage wil be mostly brousing the (Scooby)net whilst I'm sat in hotel rooms. I refuse to pay for internet access in hotels, so it would need to be compatible with mobile broadband too - an assistant in a '3' shop told me that Linux doesn't work with mobile broadband, but I would imagine this to be tosh.

So, what can you recomend and where to buy?

If you can hold your horses a little Asus have a Netbook with built in 3G coming out soon. Details on Google.

Yeah, I know that there already netbooks on the market with inbuilt 3G, but, how long do I wait? I could buy now, or do I wait for the next big improvement?

It's what's available now really, although if they are bringing something out on the next few weeks I may wait as long as the price is okay!

Bought myself one of these to take on holiday to do what you describe:

ASUS Eee PC 901 BK007X Netbook, Windows XP Preloaded: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

Came in very handy when I was away on holiday. Although does not have 3G built in, has 3 x USB sockets and an SD card reader. Battery life can be 6 hours (Without wi-fi or bluetooth switched on).

Note: depending on your hotel (posher ones especially 4+ star ones charge a fortune per day) some don't charge for wi-fi connectivity on your stay.

One thing to bare in mind is that it comes with a stated 12GB SDD storage. But this is split between 2 x SDDs. 1x 4GB and 1x8GB. The Windows XP sits on the 4GB SDD and unfortunately if your not careful can run out of space very easily, especially with XP updates.
