They go back to the shop get new SW and become the spangly shiney must haves you see every week

they end up in nigeria being hacked for all the past numbers on them and then used to do phone scams on the numbers they find.

Companies buy them off you (dependent on the make & model), who then sell them to someone else to refurb them, then places like carphonewhoreshouse try to give them to you when your phone needs a repair/exchange..only the refurb doesnt actually make them work, and you end up with a lump of cack

I just found an old email from Boots about mobile phone and inkjet cartridge recycling..

for my old mobile handset, they are going to give me £20 worth of points on my boots cards... and having checked out my latest handset ( 1 mth old, a carphonewhorehouse free upgrade for their dodgy service) they will give me atm £85... i only have 5 months left on my contract , so that will be going to Boots once it ends.. more make up & girlies things for me

Mine too! Does everyone have that speshul junk drawer in the kitchen? There is always AA batteries etc in 'em too
