Default Anyone had issues with the Sony Ericsson W960?

As above, got this on 18 month contract back in Feb.

Recently the speakerphone won't work while making calls, but works when playing music etc. Also the alarm vibrates but doesn't sound.

Fiddled round with a few settings and no difference so pretty sure its nothing I've done to the phone.

Had software issues too with my previous phone, the Sony Ericsson W880, which I had to send to me mended.

Any ideas on this or should I be ringing Vodafone to send the phone back to Sony to get fixed? No way of getting out a 18 month contract 8 months in, so ideally want a 100% working phone.

Cheers

Try updating the software via the SE Website.
Worked for my old SE Phone when it was echoing.

As above try a software reflash worked for my bro's se phone if not send it back.
Also se phones have a 2 year warranty so you are covered for your full term.

You try getting a duff phone fixed via voda, warranty or not lol

their idea of a repair is to reflash the SW, i got my phone back, reflashed,

sorry repaired, turned it on, and it was still faulty, it never left the shop,

and was sent back again.... their diagnosis of the fault, corrupt SW!!

Ffs, the only SW on the phone, was the bloody reflash they did

themselves

If they dont change the phone thistime, i,m going to take it to small claims

ironically,!!!!! my wifes 10 month old samsung P&YG developed a fault,

O2, sent it off for repair, and because the repair would have taken over 7

days, they gave her a brand new one.

Just downloaded the software from the link and it's now downloading onto the phone. Made a small folder for all music/piture/video files and backed-up all the contacts onto the SIM card.

Bit of faffing, but if it saves sending it off, all good.

For the record, when my W880 was playing up, it came back fine and was sold to a member on here. Not heard anything back, so presume Vodafone fixed it properly.
