Default Working out tax & NI paid

Hello

I need some help working out how much NI and tax would be paid on earnings. If I was a 40% tax payer, and I earned £300 in overtime, how much would I get in my pocket ? I am assuming its £300 less 40%, NI contributions and anything else like pensions. Am i right ?

Around £200 would be your net from the O/T.

Pretty much 300 less 40%, you've maxed the NI and pensions are contributed against salary (at least in my place) and not overtime or bonuses.

So 180 then.
