Forgot to mention it's Live aparently, that said their schedule has already changed once in a week, if they're 9 hrs ahead it cant be right, I'd double check the sky planner, just checked the website again and it seems they will only show the V8's, now i'm confused because its totally different to whats in the forum....

Found this

Fri. 10.10 22:50
V8 UTES WINTON

Sat. 11.10 22:00
(Live) V8 SUPERCARS RD 10 : BATHURST

Sun. 12.10 7:00
(Live) V8 SUPERCARS RD 10 : BATHURST

Sun. 12.10 9:00
V8 UTES WINTON

Sun. 12.10 14:25
V8 UTES WINTON

Confusion over

Last year they had it live and the re-ran the whole race from like 1 or 2 pm right through.

I used to get up mega early, watch Japanese GP, have some food and settle down to Bathurst in the after noon.

For those that can't spare 8 hours to watch the whole thing, the highlights are on MotorsTV on Tuesday at 21:00

I made 3 hours before falling asleep on the sofa, so i'll be watching the highlights tomorrow.
When I woke up I'd missed the Jap GP and spent the next 10 hours avoiding all media outlets so I didn't hear the result, what a let down that was 2 laps in and it was all over

They were talking about the proposed "City 400" being the last race of next season and how Sydney had secured the rights to the street race for the next 5 years, looking forward to seeing that as I'm moving to Sydney in 3 weeks time

This used to be a great race ,but Australian Motor sport has restricted it to Fords and Holdens. So boring ! The new GTR , Jags and any other import should be in the race to give it some interest.

Nope! Unfortunately the "dub" was owned by a friend of mine, and she was very protective of it, meaning I could not "abuse" it...even at 60kph-ish. In fact it was a very tidy Beetle.

Conditions were dry, would be OK to post a pic if I could.

Looking forward to seeing the V8's here in Sydney. And I've seen a real V8 "supercar" up close. I think it was in the 80's, the race at Bathhurst included many other car mfgs. The Aussie got a bit "upset" when a Ford Sierrra Cosworth that beat the "Aussie V8s" which caused an issue. Race officials even analysed the fuel because they thought it was "spiked" with some performance boosting additive. Nope! It was just a better car. Now, you can race only Aussie V8s.

I really only watch the start, a little of the middle, and the last 20 laps, on and off. Once you've raced, watched a race, you've seen them all. Intersting watching the Melbourne GP, plenty of noise, could hear it even at work.

Cheers for that Nimbus Watched it all on Sky, must say it wasn't as I remember it. Loved seeing the Monaros, Toranas, Falcons and Valiants competing when I lived in Perth back in the Seventies.
