Default prefab home at bottom of garden

im thinking about living in a prefab home at the bottom of my parents garden. is there any good site with info about these types of houses?

remember some time abo about these log cabbens type homes that people are putting up.

I thought fairies lived at the bottom of the garden

Seriously though, good log cabins are not cheap. Then how will you keep it warm in winter, and how about security?

Its a sound idea - dont go for anything too fancy or the neighbours will shop you for pp.

- in a couple of years youll be able to snap up something nice when the poor/thick ftbs have to move back into rented

im just thinking out loud at the mo as havent got the £££ to get a good morage to buy a house, am in a rented place at the mo with 3 other people , me mrs and baby.

so really would like to get a place of our own, at was thinking, parents have got a fair size bit of land, thati bight be able to put some type of prefab on, nopefully cheaper than a normal 2 bad house??

Tool shed don't be silly, this has an upstairs and windows, albeit not double glazed.

What about a large caravan. Surely that would be more practical and less planning laws involved.

Mate, have a look at the photo. The depth of the entire 'building' is that of a childs bike (the one you see parked next to it) Do you honest think something of that size can house three people and that huge heating device?

We stayed in a large chalet on holiday in Corsica earlier this year. Was OK, could have lived in it it was that big. Some of them even had upstairs!

lol are you being serious? I will put the propane heater outside the door and turn it on when it gets cold and the kid will just sleep upstares.

You lot should think yourselves lucky, all I got in my garden is a rusty 8 foot trampoline that got used once for 5 minutes 3 years ago.
