Question ThomsonFly to Mexico

Has anyone flown with ThomsonFly to Cancun from Gatwick?

Just interested on your opinions of the quality / comfort etc.

Sadly, we are in economy

Will try to upgrade on the flight out (Sunday 5th October)

We went with Thomas Cook........ leg room was ok although I’m not tall (about 5’8) but taller people seemed to have plenty of leg room.
It’s a 10 hour flight, well ours was, so prepare yourself for a numb **** (our seats were not that soft) and width wise could have done with having a little more room as was constantly shoulder to shoulder with the person next to you, but guess this is nothing out of the ordinary for good old cattle class!
Enjoy Mexico though, once you get there it’s a nice place.

Yep absolutely brilliant!!!, loads of room and i mean loads. stretch right out once up in the air and i'm a big bloke.

Screen on back of the chair which you can select radio, movies, onboard games inc who wants to be a millionaire etc.

I think its a fiver to upgrade the movies and loads of CD's

Food excellent as well.

We're off to Riviera Maya - about 30 miles from Cancun.
Staying at the El Dorado Royale. Looks ok...

Couple of dodgy reviews appeared really recently which I am gonna read right now!

Stayed there myself (well Playa Del Carmen) at the Riu Tequila, dont take in some of the reviews, normally put down by opinionated hard to please Americans, Riu Tequila was the same but it was lovely.

The only thing is with it being so hot and basically in the jungle you'll get a few insects, lizards and mozzy's so take repellent and take some Vit B so i've been told. i did get bit a fair bit.

I was in the riveria maya last june, having previously been to cancun. Not as busy as cancun but very very nice and would definately go back (have to wait till our baby is a bit older though so stuck with europe for the time being)
