It may be a bit further than 12 years away if we get it domestically at all. Un-compressed it is about 27Gbits/sec the satellite link took up 2 whole transponders and was compressed down to about 650Mbits/sec and couldn't cope when the image was panned. Static images are stunning though. We would all need fibres into our houses which would cost £££££££

Yay for the megapixels race! It was exactly what the camera world needed, now it's giving us awesome screens instead!

Seriously, I'm sure it's great and all, but I can't remember the last time I saw an HD or even SD picture where the resolution was the main limiting factor - instead I see noise, compression artefacts, banding, over-sharpening, poor gamma response, excessive saturation... wouldn't it be nice if these got some attention first?
(Putting off buying an HDTV until he sees one on demonstration showing a picture that doesn't make his eyes bleed... )

ha ha
i was in asda on monday going to get some mach3 razor blades, seams the price has went up a bit (could not find the old thread either)
had a look at the sensor excel blades and they seamed better value, but could not find a sensor exel head to use them with
ended up "testing" asdas own brand triple head razors as the blades were cheap as hell (8 for 5quid)
cut my face to bits LOL
either they are a closer shave, or they are ****, still undecided
