its a plan really, fill the country up then you can tax more people,
blame the population for more cars and rubbish so tax them some more,
then you need the infrastructure to support all these people.so collect more tax
its called joined up nu labour thinking

The problem is, you're are so far off to the right, that even my fairly moderate views appear lefty in comparison.
I'll remind you I have voted in 5 general elections and only voted labour once and will be voting Tory in the next one, not exactly lefty credentials!

There was something on the BBC news, last week I think, about how some parts of mainland Europe are experiencing a major depopulation, such as the former East Germany, areas of southern Italy, Poland. When Michael Palin did his last series, Poland has such a severe shortage of young men, they're having to recruit young ladies into the fire service, ship yards, service industries as they have such a manpower shortage.

Well we only live on 5% of the land area for a start (looks out of window and sees rolling fields). The Campaign for Rural England does a cracking job of perpetuating the idea that we are a small and very overcrowded island and yet woebetide anyone who wants to build on England's 'Green and Pleasant' Land

Not to mention landfills with no 'fill' either!
Our problems are quantity and the quality of the people we let in - in some cases and IMHO!
