Eden Lake
Just been to see this Brit thriller/horror tonight and OMG is it bleak?
I love good horrors and thrillers and this is pretty good. Well made, gritty, but the most interesting thing is the way it portrays liife in Britain today as it is uncannily realistic when you think about it afterwards.
Much of the movie is hide and seek, stalk and slash fodder which is made in a good basic Britsih way but it is the ancillary scenes that leave a lasting shock.
Especially the ending and I wil say no more than that.
Frankly I can identify with much of what the film contains, even the kids terrorising the couple remind you of the kids you see on the street corner every night.
It has left me with one overwhelming emotion and that is to emigrate! And I am only half joking!
