depends on the area. If I just drive around locally, I get Planet Rock no problem (its on 11D). Going under bridges it drops out momentarily. Heart is on 12A I think and does come and go, it all depends on the coverage area.
Its a JVC unit BTW

I do, yes. The aerial is a stick-on one in the windscreen, and reception is patchy. If i'm on a long journey i usually get fed up with it and put a CD on instead. I'd love to know what i could do to improve reception - are all winscreen-mounted aerials similar?

I had a blaupunkt DAB-52 in a previous car and reception through a proper roof mounted aerial was really good. I tried the glass stick on ones, but had reception issues and these were solved by fitting the proper one. The glass mount ones are ok in good signal areas but not so good in outlying areas. I could drive from my home (herts) all the way to Devon and not need to retune whilst listening to a national station.

Yes Tel you can. About £100
Blaupunkt DAB aerial
Like Manny (hi Manny!) I used to have a DAB52 and it was great, although I'd lose BBC7 near Membury services on the way down the M4.

I used to have one, and swore never to bother again. It's ok if you live in a strong signal area, but anywhere else in the country it's pretty useless (and that was with a DAB antenna as well)

I have a Pure Highway unit and although it is a simple to use unit the reception is average and I don't really know why I brought it. I'll either put a CD on or listen to R1, R2 or classic

I must admit, thats why I didnt bother fitting a DAB into my current car. However you can get stations on DAB that simply are not available on FM. Most DAB radios can do both FM and DAB anyway, so use FM for national stations and DAB for those that are normally found on MW/LW or online.

Why arn't they more popular? I don't have one, but have bought a new radio recently (for BlueTooth and iPod connectivity) and hardly any come with DAB.
I would of thought that the DAB people (I can't remember their name) would be lobbying manufacturers to start putting them in cars?
