Default Is anyone else's house flooding?

As title really!

I'm currently sat in my kitchen with my wellies on! It's not too bad atm, just the usual water coming up through the floor, the sump / pump combo with me mopping seems to be keeping it bay for the moment. It's looking a bit grim outside, the stream is rising quite quickly!

Still, could be worse, Sal's not here so there's no frantic mythering or screaming!

House: no. Roads: yes, there are HUGE lake-like puddles everywhere, since North Lincs Council don't seem to be able to design a junction/roundabout etc NOT to form them on every apex.

It's been raining hard here for 8 hours now. Global warming? Pshaw!

Actually yes, in a way.

I recently discovered our roof is leaking and I have to empty the little bucket everyday.

Waiting on quotes for chimney repair (please god) or rebuild (I'm dead)

Green wellies ta

Well, the stream is dropping again so we may be saved!

Looks like the duck that's made a nest and laid some eggs in our flower will be spared too! Stoopid time to be having ducklings mind!

Good luck with the roof Edd!

Not flooding, yet.

Two power cuts though, so water is getting in somewhere
Have got the candles at the ready.

Had fun coming home on the A19 today, a couple of rather nice little aqua planing sessions

Panic over, stand down everyone!

The stream has dropped to within it's banks, which is nice. Still got a little water coming up through the floor but nothing I can handle (no really, it does it all the time!).

Luckily, the lifeboat wasn't needed, good job too cos it needs new batteries!

(remarkably slow and not nearly as much fun as I expected)

Thanks for your concern!

It's quite nice being 200 miles away when your house is flooding. You can't see it so don't panic

Being flooded out sucks big time, my parents house was flooded 4 times over about a 15 year period, the first time was a mixture of flood water and sewage about 2 foot deep. It is truly soul destroying when all the things that can't be replaced get destroyed, family photo's, stuff like that. I sympathise with anyone that gets flooded.

Nothing so exciting to report here....just some rain, some clouds, some more rain. Quite boring really, I was expecting to have to drive through rivers to get to the pub earlier on....was just a normal drive really
