Entended Warranty / Service plan - washing machines etc
What are the chances of both the washing machine and dryer breaking at the same time? Ours did!
Fortunately we have the extended service contract / warranty thing that they offer you when the manufacturers warranty runs out. They've served us pretty well- with 4 children, and a wife that only lets you wear things once, the washing facilities take a lot of abuse.
Anyway- we've called them out this morning to fix both.
Now I'm not sure about you, but I consider next wednesday a bloody long time to be without the washer and dryer.
Does anyone have any experience of this as it seems an unreasonable amount of time to me.

Try SIX days to come and repair my set-top box, (Virgin), and this to a customer who pays in excess of £100 a month to them and has been with them since the cable went in in Feb 2000
As for washers, I have a service plan on mine. It's usually two to three days, but if weekends intervene, or they have someone off sick, can be 4-5.
Mine costs me £95 this year, £80 last. I'll pay it as last year alone it had THREE major repairs, and my plan allows for a new washer if they can't economically fix it.
