We were buying a property in Europe a few years back and got 1.69 Euro's to the pound.
Used one of the currency people, think its was "currencies direct"

the pound will suffer against the euro in the future so best to buy euro's now.

I think it is only going to get worse TBH, we are still on the decline.
It may be worth just doing the best deal now instead of a worse one potentially later, after all it is only 3 weeks so the risk {either way I suppose} is minimal.

Sara - nobody knows what will happen. Maybe the pound will strengthen over your time horizon, but then again maybe not. If you don't want any risk then do it now.
Ask your bank for their best rate. If you do trade with an internet company then google them for their reputation first. They might be cheaper in theory, but also may be a higher credit risk for you.

Would you gain anything by getting dollars here and changing them while you are away?
