Never knew if they can be revived. I was sent some by post as a birthday gift. The plant is dead now. I was gonna throw it. But after reading this, I may try to flower the plant again next summer.

It's just that I've read different ways of doing it. The first one I had is still going, and I got all excited the other week when a new shoot developed but it looks like it's a root and not a flower spike.
They take months to re-flower apparently, but I wondered if anyone had had any success with them.

We have about 15, the oldest is 6 ish. They have all re-flowered (sp).
When the flowers die, I cut the spike back just above the first node. They usually start a new spike between 3 - 4 months.
I use Orchid feed when the spike shows and continue until the flowers die.

I could never see the fascination........but then my sister-in-law bought me one at Christmas and it's been downhill ever since.
The first one I cut down to the first node, which then went completely brown so I cut it right down. That's the one that's just thrown a new root. I now have 3 old ones and one which is still in flower. I have been feeding them and watering them with tepid bottled water. I want them to flower NOW!!!
