Places like Viking? Go Costco take some boxes from there for free or ask someone like a manager in Tesco if they can store a few boxes for you before they flat pack and recycle.

Where about you based, I receive lots of large bulk items in huge boxes weekly, if local to Cambridge I can store some for you.

I just bought a pile from a local removals firm. They had a choice of new or used and various sizes. Couple of quid each IIRC. Don't forget one of those tape machines.

Oh and the cheapest place for bubble wrap is a garden centre where it's about £2.50 a metre (2 metre wide).

If you are really mean go to a local shop like Tescos/Staples/PC World and blag some empty boxes.

It's not being mean....it's looking after the environment and recycling.

Argos definately used to do them, but I'm not sure how much for.

I would try local stores, just in case as it would save you a few bob, but alot now won't give out any as they recycle them as company policy, to make a little money. Still worth a try, and it's not tight, why pay for things you can get for free?
