Does anybody know where I could have bar code stickers made up, it's just that my mate has realeased an album and needs these to stick onto the cd's so that amazon will sell them ?????
Big choice of barcodes...
Do you need an EAN number?
What format? EAN8, EAN13, Code 3 of 7, UPC to name a few.
You can get TrueType fonts for Windows to allow you to print barcodes from Word, Excel, Access etc.
If you want an EAN number, you have to apply (& pay) to the central body for a range.

Indeed ChrisB. From my work perspective, we use 3of9 barcodes by the million. Everything stored is barcoded individually. Anyhow, I can print off any you would like on hardwearing polyethylene material which will endure any weather conditions thrown at it.
Just a suggestion if you need something more hardwearing then a paper sticky label.

Depends on the application / environment IMO Dunk.
I've setup a EAN 13 system for a pottery manufacturer that sells into a major London department store. Their own factory shop has been using barcodes internally for some time and they run Code 3 of 9 or Code 3 of 7 (can't remember which). No problems with that because it's just internal applications.
The Code 3 of X is much easier to encode as you don't have to calculate check digits, although you usually get a VBA module thrown in when you buy a TT font license for doing the check digit calcs.
