Im looking to buy a couple of 2440mm x 1220mm aluminium sheets (.6mm & 1mm) in the Sheffield area. Id appreciate any suggestions for a reasonable supplier who can make one or maybe two cuts and charge me the right price (between just under £20 and just under £30 exc VAT).

They're one of my customers as well and they just buy the sheet in from a stockist. Plus Trevor or Rob will probably stiff you on the price

I don't think they have branches in Sheffield, and the carriage charge may kill it on price if its just a couple of 8x4's you need. Failing that look up sheet metal fabricators in the Yellow Pages that are local to you.

It'll be cheaper to drive down to John Parker's in Canterbury at this rate!

Paul: 2440mm x 1220mm of 1mm aluminium sheet should cost about £29 and a similar sized sheet of .6mm about £20, both plus VAT. It does come cheaper, but it gets a lot dearer when people start quoting 'lump sum' prices!

I used to be a rep for a stockholder and I used to know several non-ferrous stockholders who wouldnt take the **** on a small sale like this, but everyone seems to have been taken over, changed their name (twice) and then disappeared..... Google is riddled with worthless 'business directories' whoring themselves too, which makes it damned near impossible to actually find anyone.

They dont even make a Sheffield & Rotherham Yellow Pages any more: b*stards.

Result. Ive found a firm in Sheffield from this listing that can supply the polycarbonate for the windows and the aluminium sheet for the floors and other prep, for a competitive price (2500mm x 1250mm 1mm sheet for £25!)
