Dont want a static. I want to tour about the country. Its either that or a camper van but that has its downfalls as well.
**** the other motorists, i pay my taxes just like the rest of them

At least get a V8 Motorhome and do the driving bit in between properly.
I've had a few of these from a Chevvy Dayvan to a 32' Winnebago. The dayvan was more fun moving about for obvious reasons.
Towing a caravan though.

Guy at work always goes on holiday to a caravan park. Hires a Static. Anyway a few years ago his house got caught in all the flooding. He and his family spent over 12 months in a Static caravan parked outside his house.
Obviously his wife & kids were depressed about this. He then announced he'd booked a holiday to get away from it all.........................
You guessed it. Booked 2 weeks in a Caravan park.

doesn't help when morons overtake, you then realise it's not you holding up the traffic, it's the Rover in front, panic and force their way in.
and if anyone does get stuck behind me, it's because they want to exceed the speed limit, so I've no sympathy!

Why is it so hard for people to overtake a caravan. Most if towed and driven well go at decent speeds, and if you have a decent car that cannot overtake, it's your fault for buying a pants car.
Sure, caravans towed by 1.1 Fiesta's are a problem - but they are easier to overtake. If, however, you are driving your 1.4 Astra Estate and are going on holiday so have a full car with kids, and are unable to overtake, you are the people that screw it up for everyone else...
Horses for courses. I don't have one, but rarely have a problem with them...

just buy a roof box and a decent tent!
My parents have a house on wheels and they make me laugh with their we can go anywhere caravanners philosophy. We went to cornwall with them last year and we camped and they caravanned.
We got there nearly 2 hours before them, passed then on the M6, had our massive tent up, unpacked, went shopping and had the bbq lit before they turned up! And guess where we spent most evenings, Yep, our tent as their caravan wasnt big enough.
