Its a toss up between a six berth Eldis Maruader in oatmeal and the 5 birth Swift Supreme in Honey Beige, of course the Marauder has a chemical toilet as standard but the Swift is a real looker with its aerodynamic cover for the gas bottles and everything.

Any suggestions ?

I think the old Volvo is well up to towing, I can call it the "Van" (as those in the know like me do) and make friends with people called Ron and Elsie !. Im 31 now and a Caravan would be ideal for family holidays. I am just so exited about being able to spend two weeks of my life in close proximity to lovely placid wife, three cheeky little boys and my faithfull stinking **** erSpaniel. Just one room, I would hear everything they said and no fart would go unappreciated !

I was honoured to be delayed behind a "Van" (well more than one) for an hour (or seven) today and its jauntily mesmerick swaying mile after mile at a heady 45 mph in the stiff wind got me thinking and my mind wandered to visions of fields with line after line of loveryly carvans, all occupied with happy people enjoying the open air, communal showers and wife swapping.

This earthly miracle created from humble plywood, plastic and aluminium can be yours for a mere fifteen grand and just think for the price of seven or eight so called package holidays for the family in Europe or the States you could have year after year of faithfull service for not a penny more than the huge depreciation, storage and the miserly cost of the bi-annual clutch and springs replacement on your tow car.

I think you lot have got it all wrong spending all your cash on "Scoobys" and all the silly go faster bits, what you really want is a Bessacar Lfestyle 420 Plus with the entertainment pack !

I am going to stop posting on this forum and start my own Caravanning BBS called "Complete-Caravan.co.ck"

Angry

I like the way they leave them stood all the winter months with no maintance at all then slig them on to the back of there family car and head off down the motorway to have one of the tyres blow out or brakes fail and flip over and leave all the contents over all 3 lanes.

Get static like ours, double-glazing, central heating and a bog that flushes clean away.

If only you had asked last week. You are too late to get the fastest caravan in the world which was towed a 128.8 mph by an escort cossie. My mate has just sold it and yes the new owners know the history of the caravan. Just think you could have owned a piece of history.

Oh my god DT has a "Van", The terror of the A roads has a Caravan, you kept that quiet matey.

How are Ron and Elsie by the way ?

At least you dont drag it around, but then again I bet a Bora TDi came out well in the What Caravan Tow car test ?

Have you got a PPP fitted to it (Powerful Porta Potty) with Dump Valve of course, I bet the cooker has a huge HKS flue and the wheels are at least an 18 inch speedline (Both of them).

lol...

Whatever it is make sure that it can do 0.02 mph faster than the other "van" you plan to overtake on the only 2 mile dual carriageway stretch within 50 miles
