I will be taking the following route on Friday morning:
Wakefield --> Wrexham
M62 west from J30 to Jctn M60
(M60 anticlockwise) then
M62 to jctn M6 south
M6 south to Jctn with M56
M56 West to jctn ***
*** South to jtcn A483 (Chester)
A483 south to Wrexham.
Any "hazards" - Gatso, SPECS or otherwise that I need to know about?
Thanks in advance.

No specs/gatsos as far as the *** - don't know after that though.
However when on M60 be careful as continually patrolled by several unmarked cars (dark green Volvo 850, red Volvo 850 and a couple of Omegas as well). Spend most of their time nicking people for doing the dreaded 85 - 90 on a motorway (CRIME OF THE CENTURY - NOT!).
This is OK though as despite the fact that my friends brother got put in hospital the other night for trying to stop two lads nicking his mobile phone in a suburb of Manchester (just one of many of the alarming rise in street crimes occuring in the Manchester area) I sleep much safer knowing that less people will be speeding on the motorway!!!!!
Sorry to ramble on off topic, but the policing policies in this country P1SS ME OFF!!!!
Regards,
tiggers.

If I remember correctly it is updated by the public via the website or from info given out by the police regarding camera whereabouts. I got it from the following site which has loads of good links at the bottom of it.

Are you sure you really want to come to wrexham
like most of the others have said the are no fixed camares on the bypasses coming in to wrexham but north wales police do have a couple of 'Arive alive ' speed camara vans which they like to use around the aproucch roads to the town , and on the briges above the bypass and laybuys

I wouldn't rely on that 12 points site for cameras. It is missing 4 camera on my regular long trip route (London to Caistor using A1 & A46) , and has 5 other cameras I've never even seen listed.

Would have thought a simple phone call would provide the required infomation
Shame you couldn't make WL, really good day with huge crowd of people participating/watching.
Plus a guard of honour at Birch from a brace of Range Rovers, meet planned at 08.15 they arrived at 08.17. Must be the rapid response team
U going anywhere near Deamon T Friday?

Those truvelo dark blue cameras work via sensor strips in the road. The camera's face you so don't say "it wasn't me" driving. They can be rotated to take either direction but only one direction at a time. They DONT take measurements over a long distance like those in certain parts of Nottingham. I believe the strips across the road take speed measurements between a distance of about two feet, so once youv'e seen the camera and brake, your on top of it in no time and you pass the road strips very quickly after
