Had a really bad nightmare last night,... haven't had one since I was a kid ..

It was one off those ones where you think youve woke up , but your still in the dream.... and they scare you even more ! it really scared the **** out of me!

funny thing is the wife has been taking the **** out of me all day because apparently I woke up in a cold sweat as shouted "MUM"

I've had entire conversations with my wife when she's asleep. I'm really cruel, 'cos I work out what she's dreaming about and then mess with her head

Although that time she sat bolt upright and shouted "CARROTS!!" has never been adequately explained....

Mind you, one time I had a bizarre dream where she was asleep in the middle of the road and a lorry was trying to run her down. I was shaking her and screaming at her to get out of the way.

Turns out I really WAS shaking her and screaming at her. Scared the living crap out of her! There I was fast asleep (as she had got out the way) and the poor sod is scared out of her wits, heart pounding.. bloody terrified.

Boy did I get it next morning!

Dreams are weird, I had one once which involved my children and I was helpless to do anything in the dream but watch, needless to say I woke up crying and it took at least that day to get back to normal as even though the images of the dream went quickly I just didn't feel right, strange how it messes with your head.

According to WifeyDoo555, I woke up one night shouting, "F*ck the lot of you!"

Ever woken from a dream INTO a dream. I did two nights ago... been a while since the last time, and God does it put you out of sorts for the rest of the day!

Snap. I had one about my son falling off the edge of a first storey. I woke in floods, and the rest of the day I was on edge, as though I was in the aftermath of the accident

Nightmares are horrible. The ones where you can't run are the worst. I often wonder what is on my mind when I go to kip to have those dreams

Dreams/nightmares are strange things.

I had a dream a few weeks ago, and it made me feel a certain way that I havnt felt for years. Cant put my finger on it, just woke up and felt great. Then a few days later it was back to the normal day to day grind.

Anyone else experienced this?

I used to get a re-occurring dream where all my teeth become all wobbly and sometimes they fall out. Apparently this is a common dream with many people. Not sure what it's supposed to mean....

I've had that sort of dream. Not nice at all, and you wake up checking they are still there. I did hear something about this type of dream on the tele a while ago, can't remember exactly what was said, but it's apparently something to do with some sort of fear, but they said it was a very common dream.

i've had re-occuring dreams, and they are ****ed up. one of them was when i was younger, about 3 or 4?!? family friends owned a pub, and in the bar theres a door that goes out back. In my dream i would walk out back and then i would be in a small narrow plot of land, where there would be a train, like thomas the tank engine ??? (lol) and then i would suddenly be back in the bar, my mum and dad would be their and so would the landlord? then id wake up.

another one of my dreams iv had many times is the same thing, but in different scenarios.

each dream im with my family, and sometimes a few mates, but im being (wait for it) chased by dinosaurs. usually t-rex or v.raptors. how random?

Having your goals frustrated in dreams is a very common thing, i.e. the waking up before the ****, trying to run away through treacle etc.

I find myself forcing my brain to comply... like I had an intruder trying to kill me (as they do) and I tried to shoot him, but the bullets were practically dropping out the end of the gun onto the floor. I wasn't having that so I smashed the gun into his face and forced my brain to acknowledge his skull splitting open... then I forced myself to wake up before he could do a 'Michael Myers' on me and get back up!

Or is that just me

It's called Lucid Dreaming, and can be a lot of fun... Lucid dream - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia or it can turn into a bloody nightmare if your sleeping mind rebels.

Whatever else, it's always an experience!!!
