Getting free legal advice for battle with bank!
Hi
Is there anywhere I can get free legal advice - I need to take on my Bank who are refusing to accept my cash card was cloned and used and are refusing to refund me - despite the fact I have proved I was in the UK with my card when it was being used in Italy to make transactions.
Anyone know an internet site or somewhere that could help me ?

Got any legal cover with your household insurance etc. ? They might be able to help you out.
Think you can go through the small claims court for that anyway, you just file a claim on-line and see what happens, self representation is normally sufficient.

Yes if it's only £1k, you should claim for that + reasonable costs from the small claims court. www.moneyclaim.gov.uk. I'd predict that they won't even defend it and will probably settle before judgement.
For help with wording, try a google search. You just need to lay out the facts:
e.g. 1. Claimant discovered dodgy transaction on bill.
2. Claimant was in another country.
3. Claimant told defendant, defendant didn't want to know.
4. Defendant seeks £x

There is a method of pulling data from C&P and although not widely known, can apparantly get the data back in 15mins. (according to the net)
when she appealed, and questioned the sums, her bank stonewalled her.the CCard companys on the other hand were a darn sight more proactive, and were on it straight away.
luckily she had card insurance, they covered the stolen sums.
