Looking for hard disc Hi-Fi
I have 100s and 100s of CDs ripped to MP3 and WMA and I want to be able to play them through my amp in my living room. Now I'd have thought that the world would be full of devices to replace the usual CD player unit whereby a hard disc would store the ripped CDs and would be able to output to an amp. Obvioulsy it would need some kind of display in order to list all the ripped CDs avaialble. Do you think I can find such a device? No. If I want to leave my PC on all day as a jukebox server then I'd be OK but I don't want to do that. Does anybody know of such a device that I'm looking for?

Brother in law got one of these last year and seems happy enough with it.

A simple iPod would do it.
I bought a Media HDD which I mainly use for downloaded movies. 500gb, USB to transfer stuff, component @ 720p to the TV (or composite/scart), analogue or digital audio to the amp. Of course you'll need to use the TV as a display, but it means you can also use the device for movies and pictures as well as music THIS ONE although newer ones now have 1080p via HDMI
