SP30 / 28-DAY BAN QUESTION ???
On 18 Jan 2007 I was given a 28-day ban under the SP30 code (unusual, I know) and fined £200 - but no points - by Chelmsford Magistrates.
My question is this: when, if possible, does this conviction legally become invalid and/or when is the earliest I can apply for this entry to be erased from my licence? (It'll be on there for 2 years come 18 Jan 2009).
Any law bods out there?

Any points on your licence will stay there for a minimum of three years. However, the points remain on your licence for a further 12 months at which time you may then apply to the DVLA to have them removed. Any further prosecutions during the initial three-year period will therefore be added to the existing points.
The points count towards totting up for three years: from the date of the offence if you accept the ticket and pay the fine, or from the date of conviction if you go to court.
The tickets stay on the licence for four years, but for the fourth year are NOT counted towards totting up.
Insurers can and will usually ask about convictions for five years.
