Last years fad, very 2007

I left it last month after realising the full extent to which they use your personal details and data and the underhand ways in which the website is run.......and havne't fallen into a social hell hole yet

Sometimes Facebook does have some good uses, for example, a tribute group setup for a cousin of mine who died last week. There are some great comments on there from the many, many friends he had and people he'd met during his life. The response has really touched his brother and parents, always a good thing during what is a very low point for them.

I actually like Facebook because I got the impression that it wasnt full of kids. Everyone I have as a contact on facebook is either family, friends, or other respectable people.

Not like bebo, which IS definetly full of kids/chavs/goblins/orcs...you name the sh*t, and its on bebo wanting to be your best mate.

I've argued this before (and I'm a self-professed "grumpy old man") - I just don't see the point.

99.9% of the people I've lost contact with, I DON'T want to contact again - I lost contact with them for a reason.

Same with Friends Reunited.

Also with Faeces-book, most of the people I know have a one - and they'll talk on it etc. Even though, (a) they could call them on the phone, and (b) in certain cases, walk over the road (or around the town) to talk to them!!!
