Question NOT a daft question ...

.... or I don't think so?

If I am flying from, say, Heathrow to Scotland do I need a passport?

Now, I know I don't need one as it's technically the same country - but, I am thinking that a passport may still need to be produced for security reasons?

Is that correct?

Yes it's the Scottish pound over there. I have two Scottish £10 notes I could let you have for £25 if you're interested ...

No, you don't need one as its technically part of the UK.

So, Pete. Which is it? "Trolling", "thick as pigsh!t?", or are you just being "offensive"?

Only one doesn't carry an infraction

I'm tempted to give him the benefit of the doubt on this one and assume he's trolling .....

In which case the infract button is looking awfully tempting today

I expect to see the usual "bail out of the thread" tactic on this one

I searched for the exchange rate, looked in most places cannot find anything?

I'm just off to work, I'll stop in at the bank on the way and see what the current rate is.

Thanks for all the help and offers

DD, I reckon he's having a laugh and having a laugh is a laugh unless you fail to laugh at someone having a laugh.

'Course he is - but its always mildly entertaining having a a laugh by joining in and winding Pete up or playing him when he's having a laugh

God know's its not difficult

Sipie, move along then or laugh at him, DON'T contemplate joining the weak minded band of infractors FFS!

Just tell Píssy he's fat and smells and all is back to normal. Try it.

You never know though, the SN authorities might apply their rules to an unreasonable infractor!

According to the Barnett Formula the Scots get more English pounds than anyone else anyway.

Actually, that's not strictly true Les.

Excluding North Sea Oil Revenue we get a slightly higher percentage per head, but the actual total amount in £s is a small percenage of what is spent in England, Wales and NI. As you would expect, given the relative population sizes.

And if you include NSOR in the calculations, then I believe we end up subsidising the rest of the UK

Scotland cost the country £31.8bn
It gives the UK treasury £24.7 bn

NSOR accounts for approx £12.8bn per year (although this obviously fluctuates)

So scotland as a whole, is in profit - Until NSO runs out in 2025
