Slightly Worried - need advice!!
My Nephew is getting married in 2 weeks time.
He has a Stag 'DO' this Saturday ..... ALL DAY!!
I know how to drink and be silly - that's no problem ..... where I need the help is that from 9am to 4pm I am going to be Paintballing!!!
I have NEVER done Paintballing before - have no idea what to expect. I am at least 25 years older than the other 'lads'
...... with the exception of the Grooms father, the Brides father and my Brother.
Now, I have been invited for the obvious reason of being a big fat moving target for the youngsters to pummel with paint ... I'm going to look like the paint mixing in B&Q exploded all over me!!
But, if you clever lot can give me some HOT TIPS ... I'll be able to put up a bit of a fight!!
Do I just find a hole/cupboard/hollow tree and hide in it for 7 hours??

Develop a twitch like you're suffering from post traumatic stress from some old conflict...... then shout "Fix Bayonents...." before mounting a frontal charge

plenty of layers, gloves, something with a nice high neck! basically keep skin covered because the ******* hurt! I went a month or so back on a stag do and I have a patch on my leg still with no hair where the paintball hit (through jeans and overalls). Don't worry about age. My dad is 61 and he was picking off all the gung ho lads while he parked his *** behind a tree

Wear a padded shirt & padded gloves, some sturdy boots & get a set of kneepads. As above get a scarf or something cos a shot to the neck will really hurt. Also take an old rag or tea towel with you as you'll invariably get shot in the mask & will need to wipe the paint off so you can see. The bruises from paintballing look a lot worse than they really are but they will sting a bit if you get hit on an uncovered bit of flesh !!
Running around all gung-ho will get you shot in the first 30 seconds, so move between different cover points or if you're not up to running round like a loon sit tight and wait for all the other dozy ****** to come to you.

yeah PDA... as he's typing in the latest installament....
Best tips for first timers... get in a group of 4 people. stay together, work as a group. Play the first game in defense.
I know of a guy well into his 60's who plays regular. He hides and sits and waits - picks off loads of screaming banshee nutters all the time.
The advice about the clothes is good - sturdy boots: please God not white trainers!!! gloves, neck guards.
When you get the mask head straight over to the bottles that look like mini water bottles (or soap dispensers). these are the calotherm bottles. Spray (soak) the inside of the lens of the mask and swing it to dry, then LEAVE it.
Been playing since... Ooooh.... 1988? Oh Hell. 20 years paintball... Good God.

Heard about the neck thing .... I dont think I kept my rollneck jumpers from the 60's though! 
Why no white trainers? I have an old tatty pair I was going to wear!
It's going to be bloody hot in layers of clothes .... maybe I'll just travel light and go commando style?
I'm actually sh*tting myself about it
A strip club afterwards sounds better - but won't my bruises show?

I've been told that they give you a BOX to wear Not sure about that, unless it's a NEW ONE!!
I only have trainers ... this is looking like a very badly judged decision on my part

Went paintballing for a mates birthday once.
Shot on the foot- check
Shot in the neck- check
Shot on the knuckle- check
Goin again- not in a hurry!
Definetly wear clothing to cover up vulnerable areas.
Also, i hope your not the uncle that doesnt go out a lot, then when he is unleashed, peaks too soon and becomes a social hand grenade haha, theres always one
