Default New type of scammeras?

Spotted some unusual ones on way home from work. Leaving from Hayes(ish) toward M4, just before you get to the r/bout (runs under M4) there are some high level ones (3) monitoring each lane. It's not Gatso, Truvelo or the yellow SPECS ones that you see more often now at motorway roadworks? Makes me as the motorist is such a soft target yet THEY (whoever that is) are getting away with it more & more every day!

I'll post a pic of them if I can tomorrow.

A very & TX.

Edit - don't look like any of these:

Speed Cameras - Gatso, Truvelo, SPECS cameras, Peek, Speedcurb, Watchman, Traffic Light, DS2, Mobile speed traps

Number plate recognition camera's used to police the Low Emissions Zone for commercial vehicles. Nothing to worry about if you are in a car.

If they're painted yellow then the high level ones are the same as Gatsos. Take two photos of the back of the car if you're speeding with lines on the road. They're high up so you can't set them on fire. Got them on the A40 in London and also seen them on Ombersley bypass north of worcester.

If they look like normal video cameras and aren't yellow then they're ANPR.

Did they look like these? If so, it's the new generation of SPECS. Currently being trialed on the Blackwall Tunnel.

They're not yellow so probably not speed cameras (just thought of that, sorry!); they are just a grey metallic (sp?) colour (above each of the 3 lanes) so probably ANPR as post 2 & 3. I've never seen their type before so it annoyed me ... yet more cameras to worry about.

TX.

Odds on it being only a matter of time for the cars though?!
The cynic in me sees a UK wide emissions zone eventually
