Liabilty order issued by local council ?
Anyone know if a liability order (wrongly applied to me by local council ) could effect my credit rating in any way and if so how do I go about provong it or getting it removed ?

I take it this is for alledgedly failing to pay Council Tax or Business Rates?
If the Liability Order has really been made in error, and the COuncil agree, they can get it lifted easily.
However at the same time a Liability Order following non-payment of business rates or Council Tax has no affect on your credit rating. It just confirms that you are liable to pay the bill so if you continue not to pay they can then take action for non-payment of the debt, otherwise people then argue they don't need to pay!
