Bummer. Your ex-boss sounds like a **** and you're best away from that company! I'm not sure where you stand without you giving further details. Have you got a written contract to start with?

You should also read through your post because I ran out of breath half way through.

Did you get proper wage slips before? if he isn't paying tax then maybe you haven't been so inland revenue could treat it as though you were working cash in hand?

you worked at a job and never got payslips??

alarm bells should have been ringing from the very start
its not like they are expensive, it only costs me 1quid per person, per week to have my accountant print me some up for the staff

the only reason i could think of somebody working at a place and not being bothered about not even getting a payslip, is somebody who wass working for "cash in hand" or some other kind of scam ?

ummm hummm

this bloke paid you in cheque, he has stopped a cheque, one must assume he thinks he can get away with it, probably because he has done it before?

probably because you can not even prove you worked for him in the first place!

tell him unless you get paid, you are going to be contacting the inland revenue in regards to your tax payments whilst in his employment.

id guess that would work

have to quote this, because i hit the nail bang on the head, in style with that little prediction. did not expect loads of his family to be working for the chap as well h

cant see what effect this thread will have on said "employer" unless he is on SN?

seams strange to edit all the posts?

I'll fill you in baby.....oh, you mean on the thread, sorry, missed that

Does seem very dodge from what I can glean off the replies. If lots of my family had worked for some guy who had ripped them off, there is no way I would work for the guy!!!

Whatever it is, hope it's sorted without too much fuss!
