Default Dirty Cups

title will probably bring loads of views

dirty cups, infact dirty cutlery full stop, anybody else think this is disgusting ??

i am told i am a bit weird because i like my cutlery spotless before using it
i simply can not eat/drink from manky stained cutlery, it puts me off.

at work the lads are quite happy to have a cuppa from a manky cup, i simply can not do it, i have been hiding one at the back of the rack that i have been keeping spotless but came in this morning for a cuppa and its full of coffe stains

its the same at home, wifey is happy to drink from them, but i have my own "special" cup at the back that i have had to ban anybody from using

was talking to my mate who runs a local carwash about this and he was telling me he asked the lads to politely clean the cups a few times, and they ignored him, asked them a few times with a bit of an angry shout, and they ignored him, so he "cleaned" them himself by fill them with bleach

apparently the cuppas the next day were minging

Can't stand dirty cups, plates, cutlery, basically anything that you need to eat with or off, if I see dirty stained cups I really want to hurl in it and put it back, it puts me off big style, how do people have stained cups??? All mine at home aren't stained

Water marks on cutlery I don't mind but any traces of food and that's it dropped back to where it came from, goes the same for plates etc.

It doesn't happen at home coz I wash it all anyways, but I've noticed when out somewhere and getting food or drink something manky turns up

a lad at my old place would deliberately not wash his cup to prevent it from being "borrowed" and trust if you did you would have to spend at least a month in quarantine.

Yeah, it's well gross. When my lodger washes the dishes I have to rewash them as they're always still covered in bits of food or washing up liquid that hasn't been washed off, does my nut in.
I mean I don't want them all to be ultra super germ/dirt free so that I could take them into a room where they build satelites. I'd just like to eat a shepherds pie and not taste curry or Fairy liquid, lol.

A good dose of food poisoning usually changes the attitude of people with low standards of hygeine.
Maybe you could arrange some for them?

I can't believe how everyone is so obsessive

I insist on using a fresh cup once before loading it into the dishwasher. On it's own. Turned to highpower setting

Whatever happened to the days of spitting in a glass to polish it?

Actually, that still happens in pubs. That's why they 'wash' the glasses in a seperate room

And you can't guarantee that the bar staff washed their hands before cutting the fruit

I never wash my tea mug at work, although during my two week break (which is every 8 weeks) someone must crack and clean it because it is always shiney when I get back . It has near boiling water poured in it 4 times a day when I'm in, so nothing nasty will be growing in it...

Nothing worse than going to a pub or restaurant for a meal and getting a fork with crusty food remains stuck inbetween the prongs

And beer glases that haven't been dried properly (upright or the machine ran out of rinse agent). Which results in getting a whiff of dog slobber half way through my pint

working theory is that you're a bleeding lunatic.

but don't quote me on this.

*cough* OCD *cough*

Oh, as to re-using tea bags - aren't you meant to with Yorkshire tea? I never do - I use one bag per cup as it's the only way to get a decent strength tea without having to wait 5 minutes

Jeez!

Does it make that horrible scraping sound when you stir it instead of a nice clean 'clinky' sound?
