A spokeswoman for Northamptonshire police said it would "not be appropriate" to walk a prisoner down a public street. She said: "Once a person is in the courts system, they are no longer in police custody and police are not responsible for their transportation.

I have to say that when I heard about this on the News I thought that I had misheard the story.
We are being suffocated as a nation by these very strange thinking PC Plonkers. I imagine in many ways it is down to senior staff looking to their next promotion and therefore being "in the authorities' pocket" so to speak.
These lefty prats, who hate Britain and everything British anyway, are greatly responsible for the destruction of our nation and our society and unless power can be wrested from them we stand no hope of recovery to the sort of fine country that we used to know and were proud of. We are on the brink of being shovelled off to the Eu and being governed by an even more corrupt organisation, and not for our own good either!
