A sick thug who brutally kicked a puppy unconscious
Find This Dog Kicking Thug (from Wirral Globe)
WTF
THE HUNT is on for a sick thug who brutally kicked a puppy unconscious - then dragged the stunned animal behind him as he ran off.
The gut-wrenching attack took place on Monday morning on the Beechwood estate and was witnessed by a horrified Globe reader who was herself out walking her dog.
"We were walking at the back of the Beechwood Social Club at around 11am when I spotted a man of around 20 to 23 with what looked like a brindle boxer puppy on a lead," she said.
"The dog was jumping up at the lead and he suddenly kicked it.
"I was about 100ft away and I heard the thud.
"I was horrified, but then he did it again, and again, kicking it really hard until it just fell over unconscious.

"I was screaming at him at the top of my voice but he just carried on. Then he saw me running at him and he started to run away, dragging the dog behind him."
The yob then bent down and scooped up the animal, she added. "He got as far as Newdales Close and tried to put the dog down, but it couldn't stand up. So he picked it up again and ran off into Newdales where I lost him."
The witness rang the RSPCA and Crimestoppers when she later got home to New Brighton.
But she and a friend were so incensed they returned to the estate on Monday evening to ask if anyone knew of a man owning a boxer puppy.
She said the man was about 6ft tall, with short mousey hair and wearing a full grey jogging-style tracksuit.
"Someone, somewhere must know who he is," she said.
The woman, who the Globe has agreed not to name, added: "I must have been yelling incredibly loudly because there was still a buzzing in my ears when I got home.
"My friend and I spent two hours on the estate that night trying to find out if anyone knew who he was.
"We weren't successful but some-one must know as there can't be that many brindle boxer puppies in that area.
"The dog was probably only about six to eight months old. It was just a horrible thing to see."
She said the youth acknowledged her by swearing and telling her to mind her own business while "running away from me like a coward".
A spokeswoman for the RSPCA said an inspector was investigating.
She added: ""If anyone has any information we would urge them to contact our 24-hour cruelty and advice line on 0300 123 4999. All calls are in confidence."

The probable outcome when a dog attacks a human is that the animal will be put down.
It should be the same the other way around also. Castrate the blighters and let them die.
Cyril.

It makes me so angry when I read things like this. What goes on in a persons mind to make them want to do this sort of thing? They are sick, and need doing to them what they have dished out to others
I read about this one the other week, and we phoned to see if we could rehome her, but she wasnt ready at that time due to the nature of her injuries
This boxer cross was only eight weeks old when she was mutilated by thugs involved in dog-fighting.
The attackers tried to hack off her ears and tail before abandoning the bleeding puppy in a Brent park.
Named Cabbage by her rescuers, her wounds were operated on by vets at the Mayhew Animal Home in Kensal Green who also reset her front legs, which were deformed by malnutrition.
She almost died during surgery but was saved with a shot of adrenaline to the heart. Now three months old, Cabbage has made a rapid recovery and is expected to have her plaster casts removed within weeks.
Vicki Howard from the home said: This was a horrific case but our vets decided she deserved the best shot in life.
She is now a wonderfully cheerful little dog who is always wagging her tail and trying to lick people. She doesn't appear to show any signs of trauma.
Cabbage will eventually be rehoused with a family and it's hoped will be able to walk and run normally.
Her rescuers believe that because she could not fight, she would have been used as bait or for practice.
Ms Howard said: It is difficult to find evidence of dog fights because it is underground and difficult to infiltrate.
"We only see the ones who have been dumped. They cut off the ears and tail so the attacking dogs have less to grab hold of.

Cabbage top name
The poor thing looks so sad, id love to hurt the ******* that could do such a thing to such a lovely animal
I trod on my girlfriends dogs tail by mistake the other day, as i steped back in the kitchen it yelped so loud, and i felt terrible all day, but im sure she felt better after i fed her some ham
How people can hurt animals is a mistery to me
My girlfriend was a vetenary nurse for years, and horribly this sort of thing is common place, she would sometimes come home from work and burst into tears Most of the time i was nearly the same when she described the horrific things that shed had to deal with that day
There are some nasty peices of work out there

I'd even pay to be there at the time......... with my Staffie.
See if he'd like to kick my dog too.
Isn't there a Youtube clip of some tw*t kicking a little Yorkshire terrier several times. Caught on CCTV on some street somewhere.
I'd have ******* kicked him from one side of the street to the other.

When i was in Iraq During the war in 2003, one of the Ars*holes thought it would be a laugh to throw a puppy from the top of the huge mast in Az Zubayr port, poor thing had no chance.
neither did he though when he climbed down, got a right fuc*ing pasting, was'nt so funny when he was pleading for us all to stop smashing the belter.

What is it about hurting the puppy that made him think it would be funny?

Because we had a unwritten order from above that any dogs that you thought were a threat and immediate danger you could shoot them in self defense, beileive me mate that i am a animal lover, however some of these things were wild and ran in packs and had no qualms about chasing you and many a poor sod was in hospital after these attacks.we were losing enough troops from the heat and losing some from dog attacks was seriously undermanning the operation.

We could do, but losing Ben recently kind of put things on a back burner.
When we phoned we were advised to phone on a daily basis to see if she is ready to be rehomed, and then fill in a form, and then wait to see who gets in first ( why we can't fill a form out when the article came out I don't know).
I'll try and phone up tomorrow to see where things stand with her

I thought it was too soon after losing Digby, when my brother and father found some pups being advertised.
But as soon as I saw them I knew they'd fill the empty space that was left behind. We only initially went to get one pup, but ended up getting two!
