oil could fall to $60 a barrel
Could?

Technically I could win the Euro Lottery tonight. Chances are though, I won't.

Wonder if they predicted House prices would never fall.

Oil prices have already fallen from $135 a barrel to $126, where's the drop in petrol prices?

The rise in petrol prices hasn't finished yet because it takes a couple of weeks to filter through. There isn't a real time correlation between crude and pump prices.

Thus endeth the lesson.

On the original topic I don't see a $60 barrel until the UK and US are in total recession.

Agreed. Prices won't crash whilst there is still blood left to wring from the stone. That's not to say that total recession won't happen in the next 5 years as per the article, however...

Don't worry. Alistair and Gordon will just hike the fuel tax to compensate, I'm sure.

One sight change, it goes up pretty sharpish in response to an oil price increase, the other way round it isnt so quick.
