My neighbours have just had some fitted and i was tempted to get a quote. However,i've heard bad things about them and i dont want any scumbags mooching around my house. Its probably me,but their adverts also painted a picture of being run by pykies too.
Saying that though, their van had "best installers 2007" all over it,so will have to do some research...

The prices are good but thats about it. Absolute rubbish fit and finish on the windows and no aftercare service whatsoever. One unit we had fitted had a full hand print inside the double glazed unit, right in the middle. Took nearly nine months to get sorted.
"You pays your money and takes your choice", my advice, take your choice elsewhere and save yourself alot of grief

The advert alone would put me off. I could kill that bloke without a second thought
We used a local firm, excellent price and service. The bigger Companies are not always the best

If you're around Nottingham, we used Trent Valley Windows are were really pleased with the job they did.
As for Safestyle, do a google on safestyle reviews - there's quite a few review sites with plenty of feedback, and it doesn't look fantastic. E.g. Reviews on Safestyle UK Look at tests, reports and read reviews: dooyoo.co.uk

my mates a fitter for them and he is very very good but he does say there are some cowboy fitters who work for them and they get paid per job so the quicker they are the more they make.
i also had a quote from them but went with a local firm

Stay well clear of Safestyle, and whatever you do, don't let them in your house. I basically had to threaten to chin the C**T to get him out of my front door. He would not take NO for an answer. Any good window company will not try to 'pressure you' into a sale, and thats exactly how Safestyle work. Get some recommendations from friends/family. Some of the smaller local firms are usually best, but can be a bit more expensive.

I used them on my first house as I knew I wasn't staying long enough to care about the longevity of the install.
Cheapest by miles (half what St Helens glass wanted for instance), they arrived half nine in the am, were done and gone by four pm. Thats seven windows, two doors. Its a brutal thing to witness, they don't mess about and they do make a mess (which they don't clean up very well)...
I found bits of glass on the bed later on, which was rather peeving, and various bits of wood, plastic littered around the house.
As has been said, you pays your money.... personally I'd be looking at local independants in future but thankfully our new place already has double glazing.

Any salesman that tries the "I've spoken to my manager and he says you can have a 345% discount off the $4billion I've quoted but only if you sign your daughter over to us in the next 17 seconds" routine gets shown the door (or I walk out of their office). Give me your price; if it's good enough, I'll pay it.
