Read all the books last year. some bits were a bit drawn out - a common fault in King's writing IMHO, however the characters and the familiar yet unfamiliar worlds kept me reading.

I read one book that had a story within a story but the main plot of the books seems a bit drawn out for me and I cannot be arsed to read any more of them.

Great series........ remember it was started back in '78 with The Gunslinger.

It is also being made into a film by J.J. Abrahms (of Lost fame)

Brilliant - and strangely thought provoking for some time after reading it.

yeah a bit long winded but the way he winds his old characters into he story (Ted Braughtigan etc) and his real life is quiet ineresting...

DT makes its way into a lot of Stephen King books!!!!

I could create a list but that would appear nerdy haha

it's a nerdy kind of series anyway. bit like Trekers or train spotters. A lot of his books make reference/pay homage to the DT series in some way.

King's books are way better than the movies (1408 apart that is)

Read the bachman(king) books like "the long walk" - very impressive

I enjoyed the 1408 film, although it was the directors cut I saw, I should really read a few of his books, however I dont even get the time to read the books I do have

I also watched Desperation the other night too, slightly strange film, but still not bad for a made for TV job

downloaded a shed load of SK movies from giganews. didn't realise that many had been adapted. watched "the dark half" last night. read the book ages ago, thought the movie would be crap but it was actually quite good.
