Question Has anyone tried and enjoyed a "Powerplate" yet?

Having read all the blurb and having had the device demonstrated to me, I am thinking of buying the "basic" Powerplate. However, even it costs about £1200 and so am trying to get some independent user feedback!!

Stick your fingers in a 3 pin socket, it's cheaper

Have one at my local gym, meant to be an 1hr workout in 10 mins. Seems like a load of old carp to me. Had a go and wasn't impressed. That said there seem to be a fair few tidy looking women using them so perhaps there's something in it.
No substitute for some yoga stretching, a run and some weights IMO.

My Gym has one as well but its not exactly used alot.
One of the instructors told me it stimulates more of the muscle for each exercise. ie a basic pressup works specific parts of muscle. Thats why people do Inclines flys, declines etc to work all of the chest muscle.
Allegedly the power plate works much more of the muscle for each exercise but how effective it is is up for debate.

£1200 amounts to 48 personal training sessions at £25 per session I can promise you that if you had these with the ex army nut case torture expert I had a session with a few weeks ago then it will do a shed load more good than a poxy vibrating thing you stand on.
