Petrol Price Sweepstake
Right, predictions please for the average price of Super Unleaded on New Years Day 2009.
I'll start the ball rolling with a depressing guess of 151.9 per litre.

Heres the thing
Everyone speculating that fuel pump prices will rise will only make the pump operators put their prices up because we are all expecting it
So instead of all this doom and gloom re fuel prices, why dont we all start a massive fuel will be back to 0.89 a litre by christmas

i am going to go for a conservative guess of 173.9 / litre.
just out of interest what happens to the .9p a litre when you pay for it. is it rounded up to the nearest penny. it never appears on the reciept as £53.09.9 or something like that.
cant see how they can work in decimal points for pennies.

165.5 p per litre....
I often wonder if we hadnt changed to litres, and stuck with gallons if the price would be so high? Its easy to add tax to litres without the public realising just how much that makes a gallon of fuel.

Quite a lot of drivers out there will have never bought petrol by the gallon.
