Marks caused by Dry Cleaning
I collected my daughter's dress from the dry cleaners and there are two small marks on the front which weren't there before. Bad enough for her not to want to wear the dress in that state.
I'll take it back tomorrow and can see what they say but has anyone else experienced this? d

Did they not get you to check the item prior to taking it away? They may say it was A1 when it left the shop and not do anything for you

No. When my daughter took it out of the cellophane she found a little note on the hanger that there were some marks that they couldn't remove. Basically her word against theirs. But I'm interested to know if such marks can happen in the dry cleaning process. dl

My mam had the same problem a few months ago, she took in a pair of white linen trousers to be dry cleaned, no marks on them when she took them in, when she went and picked them up there were 2 red marks! Quite big aswell, she got home before noticing so took them back, the dry cleaners took them back and believed my mam that it had happened while in their hands so they sorted it for her, the marks did come off, but then again they probably made damn sure they removed the marks seeing as my mams ultimatum was, get the marks off free of charge or give me £90 for a new pair of trousers lol.
Take the dress back, tell them the problem and that you want it sorted as you know fine well it has happened while in their care, as for wondering how it happens, I have no idea, I mean you take something white in and it comes out red or pink, thought the whole point of dry cleaners was to make sure this doesn't happen by normal washing at home.
