Anyone here in music production?
I've often read (and heard the results on tracks) that there is software that alters your voice so that all the bad notes are ironed out. I have an awful voice but would love to hear if this software could make me sound good.
Anybody know whether an amateur can use this software?
Thanks

Avid produce a professional package that is used in studios. Spent some time with them a few years back and they gave me a demostration of what it could do - turned a tone deaf singer into a note perfect one! Very funny. Apparantly used by almost all bands and singers now. The really clever stuff they do does it in near real time for live performances....

OK. The producers must have got it wrong
here
The track "believe" could have used the Autotune plugin to create the "forced" pitch.......
There was a rumour that the Digitech was used, but this wasn't correct.
However, Cher's got a fantastic voice - certainly doesn't need autotune.
