Why can't I search for my own threads?

Why can't I search for my own threads?
Each time I click on "Search for more posts by timmy2take" it says I don't have access to this page.
It would be handy really as some of the things I post on move through the pages very quickly and when I come back a few days later it's hard to find some posts.
