This is something we all knew, but it makes it even more annoying when its in print, is this ever likely to stop? 42% of all motorists have had a fine of obe sort or another. 12 and a hafl million extra pounds revenure per day due to oil price rises etc etc
Milking the motorists: One in every THREE drivers is fined annually - raising up to £800million | the Daily Mail

Sorry, thats a biased report,
We all know that there are no longer any speed camera's left in the uk
(according to Police PR spin), there all safety camera's now.
How a camera can be used for safety purposes is beyond me FFS
Vote me into power, and "safety / speed, camera's" go on open season one
second after i,m elected
Mart

I still think the term 'safety' camera is ironic. I pass three on the way to work every day, two are near my school. On a morning there are cars and vans parked up on either side of the road and often students running in between these. I should be looking to check for kids but instead I find myself looking at the camera to my speedo, to the camera and to my speedo again. In this area they have made me a more dangerous driver and more likely to cause an accident! If they removed them then I could concentrate on driving safely!

I can see a huge increase in the number of cloned/fake number plates on cars, since authorities will rely more on the cheaper and revenue generating cameras. The more costly traffic police will reduce in numbers and allow those with cloned/fake plates from being detected and prosecuted since the only way to get caught is to get pulled over by the police whilst driving the car. This is already the case in London with thousands getting away with its congestion charge.
