Final words from Boris before polling day...
Tomorrow all Londoners will face a choice: It is a choice between four more years of the same old arrogance from Ken Livingstone, or a change for the better led by myself and the Conservatives; between a tired, out-of-touch politician who will revert to form the day after he is elected, or someone who will bring honesty, energy and fresh-thinking to the job of Mayor.
If you care about London’s future, and you back my plans to make it a safer, cleaner, greener, greater city to live in, then please make sure you come out to vote tomorrow. This election is going to be extremely tight and every single vote will count – including yours. Just imagine how you’ll feel on Friday if you haven’t voted and Ken Livingstone slips through for four more years of arrogance, waste, sleaze and overspending.

Just think in less than 48 hours there could be a new Mayor
Then again..... maybe there wont

Surely all he has to say to get elected is that I will get rid of the congestion charge / reduce it to say £2 a day.
He is a politician so once elected wont do anything he promised in his get elected speech.
Richard - Not cynical about politics at all !

It made me chuckle yesterday on our local BBC news channel, Camerooon was on the TV biggin up Boris and saying how he supported his challange for the job , This was the leader who threw Boris out the cabinet when he took over, Politicians all self serving liars and Boris aint no different.
As the Temptations quoted in one great old song
Vote for me and I ll set you free !
as I have said before;
It will be the same crap ( more taxes etc ) different wrapper

Yup sadly part of the role is to tax people for certain things.
The bit that counts is where its spent, how transparent spending is, and how many lies are told.
Ken thinks its HIS money to spend on HIS adjenda, and does not really care for what Londoners want these days.
He says power corrupts and 2 terms should be the limit, then stands for a 3rd.
He says he conned the government to hosting the olympics and does not care about the sports, he just wanted the money to spend on regeneration. Then denies saying it on the next debate.
He defends someone who was mis-spending public money.
He has a hatred of cars, and demonstrates it by taxing motorists more and more.
And most of all, each time Boris or Brian adopt a new policy that goes down well in the ratings, HE adopts it as his own.
CC to £25 BAD move
Closing the Blackwall Tunnel tidal flow BAD move
Setting transport fares so those who DARE to pay on the day pay over double what others pay, BAD move.
The bloke is bad news all over, and IF he gets in again, his lies and bull will start all over again, the spending will become daft again, and the CC WILL extend, like he has promised NOT to.
