Legal Advice required
Hi guys, can anyone tell me where a witness to a road traffic offense stands on changing the statement they made at the scene?
All advice greatly appreciated.
Thanks, John

Anybody can change their statement at any time, but they must be prepared for the lawyer on the other side cross-examining them as to their previous inconsistent statement. Also, Courts are more likely to accept the account that is given by a witness at the scene a it is the most recent account.
I love it when a witness has changed their statements - gives you ample opportunity to cross-examine and question their credibility (depending of course how different it is).
