domestic heating boiler question
just a domestic type combo boiler
When i run the hot tap not to quickly the water runs hot as you would expect then after a few seconds starts to run cold. Now after watching the boiler you hear the burner turn off then you can see the lights drop down to cold, after a minute or so the burner lights and the water gets hot again & goes through the same process.
In short is the boiler screwed or is it just a valve thing
its an Ariston Euro Combi for any specialists out there

Thought that was just what combi's do. If you are only running water through it slowly then it will overheat and shut down, remember it's the cold water running through it that is taking the heat out of the boiler. After the water has been running through it for a while it will cool off and start up again....

It does sound to me that the valve is sticking and not opening like it should.
ive had to have these replaced on two boilers. Worcester and a baxi.
wheres the plumbers when you need them. surely one here.
