the problem with democracy is that every half wit with very little brain thinks that their viewpoint is valid and should be listened to ... see comments on teachers' strike. our local council is full of deadbeats who couldn't hold down a full time,real job if they had to and they make rules about speed limits, recycling and the rest of it and they are not very bright!!they rely on 'experts' to advise them. god help us all. the other problem with democracy is that nobody has come up with a better system!!

and therein lies the problem - there is no better system - all the others tried have been worse.

Just have to suck it up, and tell yourself, thank f*** I dont live in Iran, N. Korea or Zimbabwe

I think there is a better system - a country run by a benevolent dictator, unfortunately not many people like this exist.
